Etsy

Not only do I do amazing hair (not to toot my own horn, but toot, toot!), I also am a little crafty and can make a few things. Well because I like to make things, I have decided to open up my own little Etsy shop. It is called, ForLoveofSparkles!  It has bracelets, hair pieces, and much more! Go check it out. Here are a few pieces that are in my shop.

If you are in the Omaha area, stop by Chroma the Salon on 144th and Maple and check out some of the bracelets!  Much love! =)

Matrix

I carry a variety of hair products. I also feel like I try out everything that comes out. (My hubby would agree!) I just like to be able to find the best for my clients and myself! I also like to find the best of each price range. Matrix is a very affordable line that makes your hair feel amazing. (and your bank account smile!)  The line I carry is Total Results. The line is made up of 6 different types. They are:  Amplify, for limp, lifeless hair - Color Care, for color protection - Curl, for frizzless curls - Moisture, to hydrate those dry locks - Repair, for hair restoration from the inside out - Sleek, for smooth, repaired hair.  (Repair is not shown)

The 2 most popular shampoos and conditioners are Sleek and Color Care. The other ones are just as wonderful though. If you haven't tried one of them, I would reccomend you do so! If you are in the Omaha area on Sunday, these puppies will be 20% off their already low price! (woah, salesperson just came out! Ha!) I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Much love! =)

November Recap

I cannot believe it is already December! It definitely does not feel like it-at all! We sat outside around our fire pit a few nights ago. As much as I do love fall, I am so ready for some snow!! I know I'm part of the few, but it's Christmas time and I need snow! Plus our lights outside will look so much better with a lil snow!! It just needs to snow if December and maybe a little in January, but after that it can go away!! Right? We need a winter wonderland for Christmas! Weatherman, help me out! =)

So November is always a busy month (not as busy as December). Here are just a few snap shots from my phone from the month of November.

From top left:  -Our dog, Mali as wonderwoman! - Christmas tree lighting at our outdoor mall. -  My niece modeling a headband. - Our 1 year anny bottle of wine. - Pretty hair I did. - Our 1 year anny picture. - My niece modeling more hair pieces. - My hubby turned the dirty 30! - My nails.

Big Hair, Don't Care

I absolutely love to wear my hair curly. I feel like I've been doing those loose, wavy curls quite a bit lately, so I decided to change it up! Super curly, BIG hair! (Well not Texas big, but big!) Now, it takes a lot longer to do this type of hairstyle, but I think it's worth it. Especially on those special occasions!!

Speaking of big occasions... My birthday is this Saturday... okay, so I don't know how to feel about turning the BIG 3-0. I mean it's just another birthday, but I'm no longer in my 20's. Does this mean I have to become an adult? Ugh, I can't believe we are old enough to be 30. All of our friends are married and having babies on purpose now. When did we grow up? I kinda miss the care-free days, even though I couldn't wait to grow up! As much as I complain about turning 30, looking back, I am so happy and proud of where I'm at now. I have a career that I absolutely love, an amazing guy by my side, a huge family I couldn't live without and the best friends a girl could ask for. So I guess 30 isn't so bad! (I just better get going on the night creams to prevent those wrinkles that are gonna start comin in!)

Well, back to hair...

Sorry for the blurry picture!  I started off with sectioning my hair off. I took small sections and then curled them back and forth. (like in the curly video I posted last month.) Make sure you spray Hot Spray on each section before curling-helps with hold and protection)  After curling, you can back comb the top layer for added height or just give them a blast with hairspray! =)

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll let you all know if I get a wrinkle after turning 30!! Much love!! =)

Bang, Bang!

Bangs are one of the most aggravating things to grow out! If only you could push your tummy. like those barbie dolls we used to have, and your hair would magically grow!! There are so many ways that you can style your hair to help the process. Here are just a few ways to get you by until you reach your desired length! Thanks to my beautiful niece, Alyssa, for being my little model!

Back comb bangs and brush back into a poof! Spray with hairspray!

Pull bangs to side and secure with bobby pin.
Spray loose pieces with hair spray!

Those are just a few ways. I will do another post soon on some more!! Until then...  Much Love! =)

So In Love

Yesterday was a very lovey dovey sort of day. My husband and I celebrated ONE  year of wedded bliss! I cannot believe it's already been a year! I guess it is true that time flies when you are having fun! Life with him is filled with so much laughter. If you have hung out with him for even an hour, you know that he is always crackin jokes. (and if you haven't hung out with him, you are missing out!)  I feel extremely lucky to have found such an amazing man to spend the rest of my life with!

We spent our anniversary by going out on our first date. We went to the same places we went to on our first date. First was dinner at Granite City and then off to Clancy's Pub for a few drinks. (I would like to add that that I got wife points for letting my husband watch football on our anni!) We ended the night by eating cake, drinking our 1yr wine and watching our wedding video! Here's a recap of our anniversary and our special day! =)  Beware...photo overload!!
